Team Evaluations, Pacement, and Expectations
Program Philosophy
Our program is built on a balance of player development and competitive success. We believe that every player should be challenged to reach their full potential while also learning the values of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. While winning is important, our ultimate goal is to help players grow as athletes and individuals, preparing them for future opportunities both on and off the field.
League Placement
Final league placement will be determined after player evaluations. At this time, the plan is to participate in Division 1, unless evaluation results indicate the team is capable of competing at the Academy League level.
Evaluation Process
- Evaluations will be conducted by 2–3 independent evaluators who are not serving as team coaches.
- Evaluators will include outside individuals not coaching the team.
- Following the evaluation process, roster offers will be communicated within 48 hours (or sooner).
Roster Decisions
- The target roster size is 15–17 players.
- All rostered players will have the opportunity to participate in games.
- Playing time is not guaranteed to be equal; however, the coaching staff will ensure that each player receives meaningful opportunities to contribute, while maintaining the competitive needs of the team.
Player Expectations
To ensure a positive and competitive environment, all players are expected to:
- Attendance – Consistently attend practices, games, and team events unless excused in advance.
- Effort and Attitude – Demonstrate strong work ethic, a positive mindset, and respect toward teammates, opponents, referees, and coaches.
- Commitment – Prioritize team responsibilities and maintain the level of dedication required to compete successfully.
- Development – Show a willingness to learn, accept feedback, and strive for continuous improvement.
Parent Expectations
Parents play a vital role in the success of the team and are expected to:
- Support all players and coaches in a positive manner.
- Refrain from coaching from the sidelines.
- Model respect for referees, opponents, and the game itself.
- Communicate directly with coaches in a respectful and constructive way, following the 24-hour rule after games when addressing concerns.
